Anxiety is a psychological condition that is learned through exposure to trauma and habitual conditioning, usually beginning in childhood. In my opinion anxiety should not be defined as a medical condition, and for most people who suffer from anxiety there are far better alternatives to prescription medications for treating anxiety. At the end of the day, anxiety is a learned habit in which we become blindly identified with habitual thoughts and emotional reactions. The online psychotherapy that I teach, Mindfulness Therapy, is all about breaking free of these negative habits and discovering your true self, which is naturally positive, expansive and habit free.
