Anxiety Treatment Online

Online treatment for anxiety disorders online

Welcome! My name is Peter Strong, and I am a professional online therapist. I provide anxiety treatment online via Skype. This is a very convenient and very effective way of getting the help you need for overcoming anxiety.

Not everyone wants to take medications for treating their anxiety. Medications may provides temporary relief, of course, but they do not treat the underlying cause or underlying process that generates anxiety on a daily basis. The best treatment for the underlying cause of anxiety is some form of psychotherapy.

The style of psychotherapy that I provide is called Mindfulness Therapy, which is very effective for managing anxiety and for treating depression and other emotional problems where there is an underlying process of reactive thinking.

This is the most common cause of anxiety: reactive thinking, and it is necessary to see this pattern of reactive thinking very clearly, and then learning how to change these patterns by developing non-identification with those thoughts that tend to reoccur.

So, this is the most essential part of Mindfulness Therapy, learning to recognize those anxiety-producing thoughts, learning how to see them clearly, without becoming lost in them, without becoming identified with them. And, this creates the right conditions in which this anxiety thoughts can begin to loosen their grip on you - they begin to resolve by themselves.

So, that's part of Mindfulness Therapy. The other part is working with the underlying core emotions themselves that fuel the reactive thinking. So, some of these core emotions might be a sense of fear, a sense of not being adequate, a sense of self-hatred, or guilt, or general fearfulness. We need to establish a mindfulness relationship with this core emotion, whatever it is, and it is by doing that that we create the right conditions in which it can heal.

When we get lost in reactivity, reactive thinking, that has the effect of inhibiting healing. But, when we are able to form a compassionate and conscious relationship with our core emotions then those emotions begin to heal. So, this is a very important second part of Mindfulness Therapy.
