Most people really like online psychotherapy because it is so much more convenient, because you can make your therapy call from home rather than having to visit a therapist in their office. The other advantage of online therapy is that it's generally considerably less intimidating for you as the client. It feels much more comfortable for you, and that's very important because the more comfortable you feel the better will be the results from your therapy sessions.

The style of therapy that I offer is called Mindfulness Therapy, and this works very well online. That's because it's based on teaching you  practical methods for working with your emotions,  anxiety or depression or OCD or an addiction. What I find most people  need are practical methods for working with their emotions by themselves, between sessions, and that's what I focus on teaching during these online therapy sessions.

Another reason why people like to talk to a therapist online is because they may want more anonymity than they can find in their local community. People don't necessarily want to talk to a local counselor. So, greater privacy is also a component of online psychotherapy.
